The most
innovative Taiwanese motorized two-wheeler-producer CPI
(Collaboration-Professional-Innovation) for the season 2005 is
presenting again brand new models, to complete the model range in all
segments as well as to strengthen the market position in Europe.
CPI Europe
in 22 European markets already established a professionall safes and
aftersales structure. In March 2004, a brand new European spare parts
distribution center in 9400 Wolfsberg/Austria started operating, on
20,000 m2 more than 17,000 articles are permanently on stock for
guaranteeing highest service levels to all CPI customers in Europe. The
CPI sales target for Europe in 2005 are more than 40,000 vehicles.
Oliver City - Oliver Sport - Oliver Racing
The
strongest sales segment of CPI (economic scooters) in next season will
be stronger "attacked" with the new models Oliver City and Oliver
Sport.Oliver City is the economic basic version, while Oliver Sport is
focussing on more fashionable and sporty customers, who are searching
for a very good value scooter. As usual on all CPI 2-wheelers, both
models are equipped in serial version with an exhaust system made in
stainless steel (INOX). CPI in the
50cc market is the only manufacturer, who is offering this important and
expensive feature even in the low price market segment.
Both
Oliver versions have been modified in several points compared to model
year 2004: frame and suspensions, brake system, taillight, painting and
design have been completely renewed. The main differences between Oliver
Racing and Oliver City are a stronger engine (with aluminium-cylinder,
Ni-Si coated), adjustable oilpneumatic rear cushion, racing-style
muffler (in stainless steel), carbon-style dashboard and a chrome-coated
side stand.
GTR
50
After the
first driving tests of professional scooter journalists, the reaction on
the new GTR was extremely positive ("Scootering has potentially changed
forever with the launch of the new CPI GTR",Twist & Go Scooter magazine,
September 2004). In the end of this year, the only real motorcycle
scooter in the 50cc market will be launched, the sales start based on
intensive development and setting works in Europe had to be delayed.
Anyway, it was really worth waiting, like no other scooter the GTR is
full of amazing motorcyccle features: tubular frame "Ducati-like" which
was originally developed for engines with 200cc, new developed 17" tyres
with racing profile (from the German producer Heidenau), aluminium rims,
big front and rear disk brakes (double piston brake calipers), steelflex
brake hoses, 55W polielipsodal headlights, LED taillight, fuel tank
filler in motorcycle style, hydraulic front fork, 2 oilpneumatic rear
cushions, height-adjustable drive footrests, digital dashboard with
analog speedometer and LCD-display (delivering a lot of useful
informations: speed, average speed, time, laptime, tachometer, trip
meter, battery level).
The liquid
cooled 50cc L.E.-TEC 2-stroke engine is among the strongest of it's
class, powered by a Ni-Si coated aluminium cylinder. Also this engine
conforms to the Euro2-emissoin limits, like all other CPI engines. The
exhaust system made in stainless steel (INOX) underlines the high
quality image of the GTR.
Supercross - Supermoto
CPI's
entrance into the booming market segment of 50cc gearbox model will
happen very soon, from summer 2005 the first Supercross / Supermoto's
will be available at all CPI dealers. Like no other model with this
displacement, the CPI developments are much more "adult" in every small
detail: double cradled frame, polished aluminium swingarm, alloy spoked
wheels, hydraulic mono shock absorber (adjustable), hydraulic front
fork, aluminium sprocket, aluminium handlebar, disk brakes in
Motocross-Design (Wave-Design for Supermoto), halogen headlight, LED
taillight, exhaust system made in stainless steel (INOX),
multifunctional dashboard (showing informations as speed, average speed,
rpm, time, laptime, tachometer, trip meter, battery level). The liquid
cooled 50cc L.E-TEC 2-stroke engine gets started by electric or
kick-starter, while the necessary power (5,1 kW in open version) is
"arriving" from the Ni-Si treated aluminium cylinder.
ATV-range
The
ATV-market all over Europe is booming, and CPI therefore is offering a
bigger model range.
As
entrance for the youngest ATV-fans into that market, the Tiger 50 will
arrive with 50cc 4-stroke engine (speed limited to 20km/h high speed)
and remote control for stopping the engine (security feature).
The XT /
XS-range is available with 50 and 100cc 2-stroke engines (CVT), the model
code XT indicates off-road-tyres, while XS indicates street tyres with
aluminium wheels. The brand new XS 250 will arrive on the market in the
second half of 2005, technical features are 4-stroke engine , CVT,
double-halogen headlight (2 * 55W polielipsodal), 2 front disk brakes, 1
rear disk brake, exhaust system made in stainless steel (INOX). The
complete XT / XS model range is homologated for road use according to
European legal requirements. All models - excepted Tiger 50 and XT 50 -
are equipped in serial version with reverse gear.
