XT 50R-XS 250

The ATV-market all over Europe is booming, and CPI therefore is offering a bigger model range for the volume segments. The XT/XS-range is available with 50cc 2-stroke engine (CVT) and 250cc 4-stroke engine (gearbox engine, 5 speed).

The brand new XT 50R will arrive on the market in the early part of 2006, being one of the biggest ATV’s in this market segment. CPI did not only homologate this model for 2 passengers and road use, we also developed this vehicle to be larger than the competitors in physical size. Double-halogen headlight (2 x 55 W polielipsodal), rear disk brake, rear luggage carrier, digital speedometer and reverse gear are part of very comprehensive standard equipment.

The XS 250 with it’s sporty design and aggressive style underlines the image of the CPI brand. Twin exhaust system for the 2 cylinder 4-stroke engine, double halogen headlight, 2 front and 1 rear disk brake, rear luggage carrier, digital speedometer, reverse gear and Nerf bars will all be standard equipment.

DIRECT INJECTION TECHNOLGY FOR 50CC 2 STROKE ENGINES

After an extensive research program, CPI will start to implement a new technology in the existing two stroke power units. In this research program which was carried out by our European R&D partners several injection strategies were investigated and assessed for their potential to achieve future emission limits and conserve the very high standard of CPI-engines.

This technology is designed to offer maximum benefit to the customers by developing high performance, cost efficient, robust and environmentally-friendly engines. The first vehicles should be launched in 2007 on the market. CPI through being the first producer who supplied vehicles with 2-stroke engines according to Euro2 emission limits to the European market in the past set a standard. Now this strategy will be followed, setting new standards by reaching in 2007 Euro3 and Euro4 emission targets.

Fuel consumption and hydrocarbon emissions (figure 1) will clearly decrease and set a real milestone in the history of CPI vehicles. CPI targets to launch this product in an affordable price segment and will not reserve the new technology for top-models only. CPI wants to offer a real environmentally-friendly and unique product to a large number of customers, offering injection engines / vehicles with more reasonable prices than other competitors are offering at this moment.

Beside the emission aspect, performance and drivability of the new products will also be again improved compared to actual models, while the fuel and oil consumption of the engines will drastically decrease.
